Kate is a senior business leader with broad international experience in financial services, strategy consulting and executive search. She is a renowned promoter of diversity on boards and in business and an expert on the benefits women bring to the bottom line.

Today Kate is the founder and Managing Director of Sapphire Partners, a pioneering consulting firm / executive search firm launched in 2005. The firm is a pioneer in helping the UK’s top companies better manage senior human capital and creatively attract and retain senior women. She is an active commentator in the media on women’s careers, women on boards and issues important to women in business.

Prior to launching Sapphire Partners, Kate held a number of senior roles at JPMorgan in Europe where she reported to the Chief Executive of Europe, Middle East and Africa and sat on the European Management Committee. In her years at JPMorgan Kate was the COO for the EMEA Equity business, the head of Strategy & Planning for the region, the chief of staff for the Chief Executive, the head of Investor Relations for EMEA, and the leader for the firm’s diversity initiative when it won two national awards from Opportunity Now and Business in the Community. Prior to JPMorgan, Kate was a management consultant at McKinsey & Company in New York and London where she specialised in strategic issues in financial and professional services and the war for talent. Earlier in her career she worked for Morgan Stanley in New York and London where she focused on M&A and corporate finance for financial institutions.

Kate is also active in the charity sector as a trustee for a national medical charity, the Prader-Willi Syndrome Association. She was previously the treasurer for the International Prader-Willi Syndrome Association. She is an active supporter of Dress for Success, Working Chance, the Eve Appeal, Wellbeing of Women, Working Families and Kids. She is an honours graduate of Wellesley College and has an MBA with honours from the Tuck School at Dartmouth College; she also studied at the LSE. Kate has four children and is married to a banker. She has lived in London for over 20 years.
